Dasianay Ward, LLMSW (She/Her)

Honest and open communication is the cornerstone of a successful therapeutic relationship. As a clinician and client myself, I understand that therapy can be a very vulnerable and intimidating place for many people. In my practice, I approach clients with a direct and casual conversation style in order to alleviate feelings of intimidation and build rapport. My goal is to ensure that my clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.

In my work, I strive to be a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive therapist. I am a strong advocate for self-liberation, LGBTQIA2S+ rights, safety for Black and Brown people, and racial and social justice. I firmly believe in affirming clients’ neurodiversity, rather than training them to conform.

Within my practice, I like to pull from different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and client-centered techniques.
